This organic, free-form dichroic glass pendant measures about 1.75 inches long and 1.25 inches wide (4.5 x 3.2cm).

Innocent looking against a white background, this piece will become a glowing changeling when worn against any colored backdrop. Organic chunks with pinks and greens emerge when worn against a colored background, including skin. The glass tends toward green but will pick up on the colors you are wearing.

This piece is hung from an argentium sterling silver pinch bail that will allow the pendant to swing. Argentium sterling silver is a new silver alloy that resists tarnish and is beloved in the jewelry world. A quality bail was selected for this unique pendant.

"Intriguing" describes this dichroic pendant well. It will draw attention as the color shifts and the pendant rocks on it's chain. A silver chain is recommended, but not included, as an elegant touch for this piece, but it will also gain a modern look with a short, black leather cord. Dichroic glass and argentium sterling silver pinch bail

What is dichroic glass? Dichroic glass was first developed by NASA as part of their satellite mirror systems. The thin dichroic coating must be applied to the sheet glass in very controlled environments. Di-chroic means two colors and this glass reflects/transmits different colors depending on the angle of light. When it is worn with different colors, it appears to pick up and reflect some of those colors so it really enhances the total look. I call this the "mood" of the glass. Dichroic glass is very coveted by glass jewelry artisans.
