Think Spring with this handmade fabric postcard that has a stitched and painted floral scene.
This postcard was created with a floral fabric that was covered with organza and then stitched to form the flowers and leaves. After the stitching was completed it was painted with fabric paints, more texture was added with yarn fibers and then the organza was heated so that it melted to allow the background to show thru.
The inner layer of the postcard is a piece of peltex that offers stability to the card.
The edge is zigzag stitched with a thread and a coordinating yarn fiber attached.
The back of the postcard is a piece of an off-white cardstock paper that was fused to the peltex.
The back is stamped with an ink stamp that says "Post Card this side for the address only".
The handmade postcard measure 4 inches by 6 inches.
This postcard will be enclosed in a clear plastic envelop that would be suitable for mailing your postcard or simply for storing your card.
The postcard will be shipped to you in a padded envelop.
I suggest you check with you local post office before mailing to obtain the correct postage and any other postal regulations that may apply.
