You can have sunflowers all year long with this beautiful red sunflower fiber art quilt! This original design fiber art quilt is handmade with three dimensional elements and would be a stunning addition to the home or office decor of a flower lover.
The center background of this fiber art quilt is Batik fabrics of greens and browns that are woven into a gridded material and then covered with fibers of different yarns for a bark-like appearance. This background was then mounted onto red wool felt and then it was stitched to a piece of brown synthetic felt. The edges of the brown felt were then melted for dimension and interest.
The red sunflowers and the green leaves are silk florals and were affixed to the surface with fabric glue.
A signed and dated artist label is attached to the back of the art quilt.
The art quilt is ready to hang from a piece of picture wire that has a swivel hook on each end. The wire does not show from the front.
This art quilt measures 9.5 inches in width and 17 inches in length.
