THE TILE: This is a glass tile necklace commemorating the Catholic Saint Maria Goretti, one of its youngest canonized saints. She died from multiple stab wounds inflicted by her attempted rapist after she refused to submit to him. As such, she is the patroness of Crime victims, teenage girls, and modern youth. She was 11 years old when she was martyred.
