This hot dress needs a cool gal short in stature and long on curves to fill it out! Bombshell 1960s' man-men cocktail dress is so Marilyn or Jayne, perfect for VLV! Made in a high-quality lustrous, non-metallic brocade in shades of green--sage, dark green, pale green, etc. A true wiggle dress, with hem circumference much narrower than hips. Features fitted, seamed waist; full darted hipline; back kick pleat; back metal zipper (works perfectly, but won't zip all the way up on too-large dress form). Skirt is fully lined with silk.

Appears to have been professionally custom made. The fabric is lovely (possibly rayon or rayon-silk blend) and is imprinted with the name "Oyoshi Tex." It seems this is a Japanese mill, so dress may have been made in Japan or Hong Kong for a U.S. tourist (common in the 60s). Beautiful interior construction, with all seams finished, waist seam encased in silky binding, meticulously formed darts, and hand stitching at all facings. With its short waist length and overall small size, this looks to have been made for a petite woman with full bust and hips. The armscyes are cut high on this, so bear that in mind when considering fit. There is plenty of seam allowance at both sides for alterations.
Excellent to near mint condition. On the back of the dress, at the top of the bodice, there's an irregularity in the weave of the fabric. Very hard to see because of the brocade pattern (I thought it was a smudge of soil, but on closer inspection, it's "in" the fabric). Dress appears unworn, or, if worn, not more than once. Clean, ready to wear.

SIZE: XS to Small, approximately a 4 (petite proportioned). But go by the dimensions below! We suggest you compare to a dress you have of similar style or fit. There is no stretch to this, so please leave room for your body, roughly 2" to 2 1/2" through the bust, 1" at waist, and 3" at hips.
