This Unisex Leather and Copper Wire Wrapped Cuff Bracelet is strong and bold. The center geometric design has no specific meaning, it is just how the wire moved as I was creating it. The design does remind me of a few symbols I have seen, but really I had no specific design in mind. I kept adding the copper pieces until the design flowed easily and had a finished look. The center copper wire wrap has been spray with 3 coats of varnish to prevent tarnish and hold it natural look. The bracelet is finished with a VERY large lobster clasp which adds to the fashion forward look of the piece but also adds very easy on and off of the bracelet.

The inspiration behind this cuff was a group of leather bracelets I made for my nephews. I have been asked many times to begin creating a men's line, so I thought my nephews would be a great testing ground. I have 9 nephews, plus one nephew in law, so I had an abundant testing ground. I went searching for leather, yes I could have bought leather blanks but I knew I had a great many belts around the house that would make perfect cuffs. I looked in my father things, he had passed away 6 years ago and was very loved by all of my nephews. I found a wonderful wide leather belt that would be perfect. Working with this leather I made the bracelets for my nephews, they loved the fact that apart of grandpa was always with them.

While working on these, I feel in love with leather. The look, the feel and the versatility. Thus, I now have created a bit of a Unisex Leather line.

Due to the fact that I have committed myself to upcycling worn leather belts, the look of the leather may be different than what you see in the picture. I will always try to get as close to the picture as possible, leather tone may vary.
