Most ladies look wonderful in red and this necklace is a great way to wear it. Three strands of deep burgundy Irish waxed linen thread are knotted to hold a scattering of large, wire wrapped rosy red pearls, wire wrapped faceted garnets, and tiny Thai silver beads. Each knot holds a deep ruby red glass seed bead, adding an unexpected ruby sparkle in changing light.

The three strands are braided with more seed beads and then bound with silver wire to a hook and extension chain. When I forged the hook, I worked a large red pearl into the wire wrapping. A final smaller red pearl dangles from the extension chain. This neck piece adjusts from 18" to 19 ½".
