Bittersweet Autumn Necklace
A tribute to the exuberance of the fall colors, and the foreboding of the coming winter. Dying vines curl and cling tenaciously to the frame of a gothic-style arched window, while the autumn yellows, oranges, and ambers glow defiantly in Winter's face. A darkly romantic necklace.

I sculpted and wove sterling silver and copper jewelers wire into the window shape, then curled and twirled more silver and copper wire into vines and leaves. I added tiny carnelian beads and citrine beads for color, then accented with sterling silver beads, gold-filled beads, and copper beads.

Above the pendant part of the necklace, a citrine-accented copper rose connects the pendant to the sterling silver handcrafted chain. The chain adjusts from 17 inches to 19 inches.

Bittersweet Autumn is the third necklace in the Seasons Nouveau collectible series.

Pendant sculpture measures 1 5/8 inches long by 1 inch wide
Copper rose connector measures ½ inch long
Carnelian beads are 5 x 3 mm
Citrine beads are 3 mm approximately
Sterling silver beads are 2 mm
Copper beads are 3 mm
Gold-filled beads are 3 mm
