This little handwoven Peruvian Wave friendship bracelet was woven using multicolor shades of green. It is made for either a male or a female to wear and can be worn on either side.

Friendship bracelets are traditionally give as a gift and tied to the wrist of a friend to be worn until the bracelet falls off or the friendship is ended.

This bracelet is 6 inches long and has a loop and ties at each end to fasten to the wrist. The ties add an additional two inches to the total lenght.

The bracelets originated in the mountains of Peru near Machu Pichu. They have now found in Mexico and in the past few years, the USA.

I have long been an admirer of this art and after several attempts at making them, I was finally able to learn this fascinating art.
