One of a kind lot! This is the only yarn I have spun from this fiber. Even if I get the same fiber again, the yarn would not be the same so be sure to check the yardage amount for the project you plan.

The blending of deep brown alpaca and white silk creates a slight tweed look to this yarn. The white silk not only shows through due to the light color but also because of it's shine.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
I started with fiber from a deep brown alpaca coat. After washing this fiber, I used my drum carder to blend it with the shiny silk roving. This preparation was then handspun into a soft yarn that has what I would describe as a 'crisp' hand. There's very little bounce to the yarn, it will be best used in designs that require a crisp texture and little drape.

Because of the silk content to this yarn, I do not recommend it for felting.
