The fiber for this yarn was only marked superwash by the seller, so I do not know the sheep's breed. The yarn is very soft though, and would work well for next to the skin projects. The yarn is a medium thickness, being perfect for comfort shawls or baby blankets.

I can not verify that a knitted project from this yarn will wash safely in a machine washer, since I always wash my yarn skeins by hand. I can only state that the original fiber was labelled superwash.

I originally started this spinning project to make a special shawl/blanket for cancer awareness, having a friend going through chemo for cancer.

Instead I now hope that someone else will pick up this idea and create a very special project for someone. The super soft yarn as well as the light pink color makes it ideal for a cancer awareness project or for that very special blanket for a newborn grand daughter.
