Wool roving ready for spinning. This roving is from the well known breed of sheep, merino. The color is unusual: a wonderful deep brown. The fiber is very soft. It can be spun into a yarn soft enough for most wool tolerate people to wear next to the skin.

This roving has vegetable matter in it, that either drops out during spinning or can be removed as one spins. The roving is not the best processed fiber I have seen, but the unique color of the wool makes it desirable enough that I have listed it for sale.
