This 12' garland is made from two inch quilted circles of cotton fabric, machine quilted and edged with blanket stitches in red or gold embroidery floss. The backs are off-white flannel. Each circle is embellished with a vintage button.

Waste not, want not! Sometimes the need to use up every bit of fabric gets the best of me. In this case, a project arose from scraps and brought a lot of satisfaction from stitching. What is it about blanket stitching that is so delightful?!
