Hand-embroidered bookmark, approximately 2 inches wide and 6 inches long, in desert tones of brown, teal, and cream on 32-count beige linen. This type of embroidery is deceptively strong, as the cutwork areas are reinforced by the stitches themselves. Fringed edges are held by special stitches.

I love doing this type of embroidery, and was blessed with stashes of both fabric and thread from an unexpected source.
