This lovely bookmark is hand-embroidered on 32-count linen with a variegated thread for the diamond shapes and solid golden yellow for the needleweaving and fringe stitch edge. Delicate-looking but the beige color of the fabric and darker colors of the threads make it more than appropriate for a man. Great for grads, Dads, or anyone for the autumn. Bargain priced as it is a bit smaller than my other bookmarks at 2x5 inches, not including the fringe.

I hadn't made any Hardanger for a while, then heard, as we all did, about the attacks in Norway. Hardanger originated in an area of Norway, so I put more than a bit of prayer for the country into this embroidery.
