ACCURATE REPRODUCTION OF VINTAGE OJIBWA INDIAN DESIGN, Circa 1840's

I patterned this design by viewing the line drawings in my book, Ojibwa Crafts, 1943. In reading the book, the Ojibwa's often used 3 shades of blue, hence this is the colors I chose to use in the hat band.

It is 11-lines wide, at 11/16 wide with 261 rows, incorporating 2,871 individual size 11/0 quality glass seed beads, in three shades of blue with a white background.

This hatband is completed and is finished with quality Natural deer hide ends and a matching tie, and approximately 23 3/8" in length. This hat band will compliment and fit hat sizes 7 1/8 and larger.

This hatband was one of my first hatbands I was inspired by from line drawings from the book, Ojibwa Crafts, 1943. This was an Ojibwa (O-jib-way) or Chippewa Indian design, from circa 1840's. It is called the Ottertail Design.
