This is a heart pin made of lightweight polymer clay and painted with a matte red glaze in a thin layer, leaving an almost pink hue. The pin is 1/8 inch thick, 1 inch across at the widest point, and 1.5 inches long.

The pin back is a tie tack baked into the piece with silver polymer clay. The back is unfinished (as seen in third picture). It does have a push on closure so you don't poke yourself.

Lightweight polymer clay is a non-toxic reduced density clay that is just as strong as regular polymer clay, but it offers a lighter weight for smaller accessories and reduces the weight bearing load on pins, avoiding clothing tears and/or breakage of the piece.
