Ladies' size Small denim vest is OOAK with vintage fabric detailing. These barkcloth accents take the vest from plain to artsy chic!

This is a completely "green" garment. I started by upcycling a Liz Claiborne vest in a Petite Small size.

Highly collectible vintage barkcloth has been applied to front and back. On the front the fringed yokes feature magnolia blossoms and big green leaves; colors include white, gray, yellow, dark red and many shades of green all on a creamy white background. The fabric is a wonderfully nubby cotton.

On the vest back, the same fabric is applied to the central panel, again fringed at the bottom. I took an interesting "rays" motif from another barkcloth fabric and applied it to the upper right shoulder.

All the fabric pieces have been carefully and securely machine sewn. The fringed edges have been sewn so they will not fringe any further. All the other edges are neatly turned under and topstitched.

A vintage button is on the collar--I thought it looked really cute there. I've attached it with a safety pin so that it can be removed when the vest is washed.

And this vest IS machine wash and dry!

The vest measurements are as follows:
Bust 36"
Hips 42"
Back Length (base of collar to bottom edge): 20"
