Lee denim jacket is now ART TO WEAR!

A panel of VINTAGE barkcloth is featured on the back and sleeves. The charming farm scene includes a girl on a swing that hangs from a beautiful huge tree, barn and house, horses, hay wagon and ducks on a beautiful pond. The fabric is fringed at the cuff.

The collar has been covered with chartreuse chenille---soft and cozy! The same fabric covers the back upper yoke.

The rest of the jacket has been pieced with 2 bright complementary cotton fabrics that pick up all the colors in the barkcloth. Colors include shades of green, red/orange, black and white.

All fabrics have been PREWASHED and the jacket is completely MACHINE WASH & DRY.

Aside from the fringed sleeves, all edges are stitched under. I'm VERY careful with construction and you can be sure that this SHOWS in the details! This makes the garment very durable AND attractive!

chest 36 inches sleeves 22 inches
bottom edge 32 inches back length 19 1/2 inches

I take a great deal of time individually designing each item to highlight the best features of the fabrics AND the garment design. Denim jackets are great to use as they are made with lots of "sections" which can be covered.

Barkcloth is a 100% cotton fabric which was used primarily for curtains in the 1930's - 1950's. Its weave has a rough texture which gives it its name. The texture of barkcloth is just one of the things I love about it. It has become quite popular now and is hard to find.

Vintage barkcloth has designs and colors which are unique to the period. Finding other fabrics to coordinate with it is just part of the challenge (read "fun")!
