This scarf is one of a kind! It is a mix of genuine Balinese ikat weavings with recycled denim.

The ikat is 100% cotton and has been handmade on the island of Bali. This is genuine ikat, not a print!! Ikat is a labor intensive art of weaving that involves dying each strand individually, then weaving them into stunning, vibrant patters which can be recognized from island to island, village to village.

The scarf is machine washable and does not bleed it's colors. It has been pre-washed and dried to assure no issues. The more this scarf is worn and washed, the softer it will become, although it is already quite soft.

The jeans part of the scarf, come from a pair of jeans that were destined for the landfill and I rescued them and gave them a new life! They are a very soft cotton/poly mix.

In one of the photos, it's a bit hard to see, but I have a band around the scarf. It is made from the same pair of jeans that is on the scarf and has my logo on one side and nothing on the other. It is great as an extra accessory to the scarf, and also as something you can use to 'tie' it together, which increases the variety of ways you can wear it! it fastens easily with Velcro.

Machine wash and dry, if desired. Iron if needed.
