Landscape Fiber Art Quilted Postcard- "Blue Endless Mountains"- #12 of 12- 4x6 in size. This Art Postcard is one of a series of 12 that were inspired by the view of the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania that I can see from my home. A group of 12 little One-Of-A-Kind landscapes were created at one time and are similar, but unique. This monochromatic group was done all in shades of blue and white. Many days, the mountains seem to all various shades of blue, usually dustier than the bright colors used here. Each piece is signed and numbered by the artist.

Small pieces of fabric were cut and fused to an interfacing base, then the mountains were accented with decorative stitching and the sky with it's shimmery organza overlay was freemotion quilted in clear thread. It is bound with a variegated colored yarn in shades of blue, couched on the edges with variegated thread.

Fiber Quilted Postcards are small works of art that can be displayed in many ways; framed, mounted on fabric covered, stretched artist canvases; or even on a plate stand or grouped in a decorative box or basket. The back is just like an ordinary post card, and can be mailed to someone. They are backed with a pale, white, or ivory fabric, that can be written on using gel pens for scrapbooking. A 64 cent stamp is needed to mail them as they are in the US, or they can be mailed in an envelope. They are a great gift and card in one!
