Art Quilt Fabric Postcard- "Cropped Delphiunium Door"- Limited Edition Embellished Reproduction- 4"x6". This Art quilt Postcard began as a photo of my "Delphiunium Door" Art Quilt from the Stones and Walls Series. The photo was cropped, then printed onto cotton fabric before being fused to the postcard base. Stitching around the door adds texture, and seed beads are used for the door handle and to accent the flowers.

This postcard is from a Limited Edition of 12 made using this photo. Each is very similar, but has slight variations in the beading. The back of each card has the name of the piece, and is signed and numbered by the artist. All in this edition have an ivory yarn binding on the edges and a pastel hand painted fabric for the back. You will receive the next available numbered card in the edition. Two of the cards in the series are shown in the photos.

Fiber Quilted Postcards are small works of art that can be displayed in many ways; framed, mounted on fabric covered, stretched artist canvases; or even on a plate stand or grouped in a decorative box or basket. The back is just like an ordinary post card, and can be mailed to someone. They are backed with a pale, white, or ivory fabric, that can be written on using gel pens for scrapbooking. A 64 cent stamp is needed to mail them as they are in the US, or they can be mailed in an envelope. They are a great gift and card in one!
