Fall Rectangle with Shells & Butterfly Beaded Art Quilt Pin. Appx. 1½x2" in size. Shades of green, beige and brown fabrics, stitched with moss green thread. Edged in satin stitch with variegated thread in oranges and brown. Hand beaded with assorted glass beads in brown, black, clear and green. Two tiny shells are also stitched on with a gold tone butterfly accenting the lower part of the rectangle. These colors will coordinate with many fall outfits. The back on this pin also allows for use as a pendant, by pinning it onto a necklace, cord or chain you already have. Art quilt pins look great on lapels, sweaters, or blouses to add a little glitz to any outfit. They also can be used to jazz up an evening bag. The second Photo shows the pin next to a ruler for size reference, and the third photo shows it on a chain as a pendant. (chain not included) My Art Quilt Pins came about when I had collected an abundance of very small scraps of beautiful "quilt sandwiches", (pieces of batting with fabric fused to both sides). Many of the fabrics were ones that I had painted myself, and I started stitching pieces together into mini crazy quilts, then embellished them with beading, and the Art Quilt Pin was born. They are fabric on the back also, and stiff enough to hold up well while being worn. These little gems are one of a kind originals that give me a way to express myself and play with the beads, crystals, and fibers that I have been collecting.
