Pink and Blue Rectangle Shaped Beaded Art Quilt Pin. Appx. 1 1/2"x 2" in size. This pin is made with a blue and pink floral printed fabric along with rose pink and pale blue fabrics satin stitched together with silver metallic thread. The edges are bound with black yarn stitched on with silver thread. Rice shaped beads in clear iridescent and pearl pink are stitched on with pearly lavender and silver glass beads. Faceted cobalt blue glass beads, stitched on along with silver glass and pearl pink ones, dress up this pin. This pin is great to coordinate with many colors. The second photo of this pin shows it with a ruler to see the size easier. The back on this pin also allows for use as a pendant, by pinning it onto a necklace or chain you already have, as shown in the 3rd photo. Art quilt pins look great on lapels, sweaters, or blouses to add a little glitz to any outfit. They also can be used to jazz up an evening bag, as shown in the 4th photo. My Art Quilt Pins came about when I had collected an abundance of very small scraps of beautiful "quilt sandwiches", (pieces of batting with fabric fused to both sides). Many of the fabrics were ones that I had painted myself, and I just could not throw them away. I started stitching pieces together into mini crazy quilts, then embellished them with beading, and the Art Quilt Pin was born. They are fabric on the back, also, and stiff enough to hold up well while being worn. These little gems are one of a kind originals that give me a way to express myself and play with the beads, crystals, and fibers that I have been collecting.
