Yellow Sunflowers 2 Is an Art Quilt Postcard, 4x6 in size.

A scan of an arrangement of sunflowers, printed onto cotton fabric, is the focal point of this piece. The print has been overpainted lightly with a sparkle paint, and is accented with brown and beige fabrics, with 2 shades of green yarns, couched along edges of the fabrics with clear, or gold metallic thread. The accent fabrics are also enhanced with freemotion quilted vinelike designs in gold metallic thread. An ivory yarn is couched on the edges for the binding.

Fiber Quilted Postcards are small works of art that can be displayed by framing, mounting on fabric covered pre-stretched artist canvases, or even on a plate stand, or in a decorative box or basket. These even can be mailed to someone. They are backed with a pale color, or ivory fabric, that can be written on using gel pens for scrapbooking. A first class stamp is needed to mail them as they are, or they can be mailed in an envelope. They are a great gift and card in one!
