Bead Embellished Hair Barrette- Peach & Moss Green. Appx. 1"x3".

Here is a quilted and beaded hair hair barrette with a base of peach painted fabric, decorated with assorted thread snippets trapped under melted mylar shred and stitching. Glass beads in black, gold, copper and green, add more interest. There is also a nubby, decorative green yarn just under many of the beads. The edges are bound with a black yarn stitched on with silver metallic thread.
The decorative piece is securely mounted to a large barrette that will hold lots of hair securely.

Inspiration / Story behind this Product:
My Art Quilt Jewelry came about when I had collected an abundance of very small scraps of beautiful "quilt sandwiches", (pieces of batting with fabric fused to both sides). Many of the fabrics were ones that I had painted myself, and I started stitching pieces together into mini crazy quilts, then embellished them with beading, and Art Quilt Jewelry was born. They are fabric on the back also, and stiff enough to hold up well while being worn. These little gems are one of a kind originals that give me a way to express myself and play with the beads, crystals, and fibers that I have been collecting.
