"Flowers on the Windowsill #6" Mini Art Quilt for framing 11"x14". Reg Price- $75.00

This quilt is one from my "Windows and Trellis" collection. A blue bowl filled with an arrangement of white Daisies, Lavender Anemones, and blue flowers sits on a windowsill. The background fabric is hand painted with an impression of an outdoor scene. The window frame is fused applique, stitched and quilted before the flowers were appliqued on. The bowl, flowers and leaves are cut from other fabrics, arranged and fused before the freemotion quilting stitching to add more interest and to secure the pieces. This quilt can be displayed in a standard 11"x14" frame, 16"x20" or larger frame with a mat, mounted on a pre-stretched artist canvas, or hang any way you wish. A detail photo is included.

I have always loved flowers and gardens, picking bouquets to bring indoors since I was young. This series of Art Quilts include assorted windows and trellises with impressions of gardens and outdoor scenes that are viewed through them. Various arrangements of fused applique flowers are added on the windowsills or on the trellises. This series was my first to use my hand painted fabrics.
