What a lovely adornment this would make for anyone's jacket, coat, or sweater! Handmade of Fine Silver, .999, and oxidized to highlight the textures, giving it a look of a landscape painting of evening colors in blue and red. This is my own design, carved first in polymer clay. Once that is fired, I use it as a mold for the silver. A simple pinback is firmly attached.

Fine silver will not tarnish easily. The more it is worn, the less it needs polishing. When necessary, use a polishing cloth with a light touch, as the colors can be removed with vigorous polishing. The colors will look different as you move and shift the angles that you are viewing the brooch from...in other words, if you look at a lower angle, it will show more reds...from a higher angle, it will be bluer.

This piece measures 2" wide by 1 1/2" high at the tree. It weighs 11.5 grams or .405 oz.

My inspirations are from nature, the country landscape, such as trees, leaves, even rocks. It all is beautiful to me!
