Blue swirl lentil focal bead with gold leaf splash

Product Description
One gorgeous deep blue swirly bead with a splash of speckled gold leaf. This fairly large (over an inch across) bead would make a wonderful focal point in any necklace.

This bead has been coated with varathane. (Pretty much any time I have gold leaf on the surface, it needs to be sealed.)

There is a small hole running from side to side.

Note; I actually have a big bucket of these lentil beads in all sorts of colors undrilled.
The drilling is the toughest part for me. But if your at all interested drop me a note.
Lentil beads can be made into pendants just by adding a bail.
Or wire wrap them. I MAY list a few in the bits and pieces section at some point if there is any interest.

But this one has a hole for stringing.
Materials Used
polymer clay

All my beads are hand formed. I don't use any kind of mold or machine. Just my eyeballs and sense of touch as I make the beads. So expect there to be some differences in size and shape from bead to bead. Each is unique. That's part of the joy of "handmade." I do try to only list beads that I consider a matched set. Odd balls are tossed into a bin and eventually I'll list as a destash grab bag item.

Also..... a few listings may be for set amounts of beads.
But since Artfire allows me to list how many of an item I have, I plan to start photographing a whole lot, but list a per bead price. This way YOU can decide how many you need and only buy that.

(I love Artfire! Couldn't do that on Etsy.)

I keep the shipping as low as I can and many of my items ship free with any other purchase.

Also.... I'm really not a jewelry maker. Rather make the parts for other artists to play with.
I'll photograph my beads next to a ruler so you can gauge the size. As for the hole? I have no clue how you jewelry people measure that. But... if you need a wide hole and aren't sure based on my photos if it's large enough, please contact me. Polymer clay is incredibly easy to drill. I can always enlarge a hole.

Finally, and this part will be up in the description, sometimes I'll coat beads with a clear varathane and sometimes not. In any case, people have asked me if the beads are all water proof coated or not.
I've tested this myself. Warn some in the pool, lake, shower. I personally like the feel of the uncoated ones better when they are wet but sometimes the design just cries out for a shine. And sometimes I'll use things like gold leaf, or pearl-ex powder and that really does need a protective coating. Not to worry. They will be fine so go ahead and wear them anywhere.
