I created this triptych using a pattern by Laurie Speltz. I cut out the three separate panels from 1/4 inch thick wood using my jig saw. I then handpainted each using acrylic paints and sealed them with acrylic varnish. I added hinges to connect the panels. The first and the third panels are dark blue and feature fireworks while the center panel is painted red and has Uncle Sam holding a flag. The completed piece measures 12 inches tall and 13 1/2 inches across. What a colorful patriotic decoration that can be set on a table, mantle, shelf, etc.
