This cheerful little mug was made on my potters wheel from stoneware clay, then decorated by hand using colored slips that I mixed myself. The interior is solid white. The entire mug is covered in a clear shiny glaze that is food safe, and very durable. You can wash this mug in the dishwasher, and heat up liquids in the microwave. It stands 3 1/2 inches tall, and measures 3 1/2 inches at the widest part of the bowl. I am very pleased with the fresh and spontaneous quality of the design, and the colors are perfect for that first sip of your favorite warm beverage in the morning. I think I am going to make some plates and platters in this design.
