This piece of artwork was created especially to help raise funds for the heart worm veterinary care of Second Chance the Pound Dog. Here's her story: "Hi, my name is Second Chance, and I used to be an unloved pound dog living in a cage way too small for me. Since I'm an older dog, everyone just passed me by. I was sick and scared, and didn't think anyone would give me a second chance, but then one day a new human family thought I was special and brought me home! Even though I'm sick with heart worms and other stuff, and need to have my food specially cooked for me, my mom says I have the best personality of any dog she's ever met. I don't have a tail (nobody is sure why), so I "body wag" everyone I meet. My mom tells people that she didn't give me a second chance, but that I gave her family a second chance at feeling safe and loved and happy. "
