A Tie Dye, Carefree, Psychedelic Dose of the 60's

A look straight out of the 60's, this handmade glass lampwork bead is way cool! There's plenty of color, sparkle, and fun with this one - it's sure to bring lots of looks & comments. I loaded it up with tie-dye colored dichro on a dark transparent purple base, then encased the whole thing in crystal clear glass. On the front of this rectangular shaped bead are 2 groovy murrinis - a peace sign and a smiley face. The back side of the bead has no murrini, but is bright with lots of colorful dichro - like having 2 beads in one. The awesome peace murrini is by John Rizzi, and the cute smiley face is by Shelley B. of Glow Pond Glass.

This unique focal bead is approximately 29mm in length and was made on a 1/8" mandrel. Photos have been taken in bright natural light and greatly enlarged in order to better show the details. This listing is for a total of 1 focal bead, penny not included.

My handmade glass lampwork beads are lovingly torched by me. They are cleaned thoroughly and properly annealed in my digitally controlled kiln for strength and durability.
