This bag is made of vintage Yukata kasuri (cotton fabric) in a traditional weave. It is recycled fabric, carefully disassembled and sent on to a new adventure. This looks black, but it could be indigo. It is very dark. The lighter blues really make a wonderful contrast.

I have padded this with cotton batting and quilted some of the ikat designs, which
unfortunately does not show up in the photos. The padding and quilting makes this quite a comfortable bag!

The straps are 21". The roomy bag is 12 1/2" tall and just slightly less wide. The closure is a flap which tucks under a tag of the lining and strap fabric. The tiny floral contemporary really goes well, don't you think? Inside is a 6 x 7 1/2" wide pocket in wine, bluegreen and gold border print.

Great bag for shopping, weekend trip for sightseeing tourbooks - or whereever life takes you!
