This is a unique art form using instruments and techniques developed by myself since 2000. You will not find anything like this anywhere else in the world. I also call it sand calligraphy or beach calligraphy. The letters and designs are carved directly into the sand and photographed before the ocean claims it.

Hebrew for hallelujah.
I carve this word often. The ocean makes me do it. In the words of Leonard Cohen: "And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah." Those who know me intimately will find it puzzling. I am certainly not your typical sceptic - I have too subtle a mind for that - but I do have a fraught relationship with God. To quote Leonard Cohen again: "It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah" and usually it's gone with the next wave but I'm likely to do it again.
