This is a unique art form using instruments and techniques developed by myself since 2000. You will not find anything like this anywhere else in the world. I also call it sand calligraphy. The letters and designs are carved directly into the sand and photographed before the ocean claims it.

ArtFire is the first avenue I have explored for selling prints online.

I'm not sure what to say about this piece yet. It shows a running human form as a letter form, and it reflects the light of the sun on its watery body. For some reason it makes me think of hope. Perhaps it's the way that jumbled mass of meaningless letters and symbols is energised by that single individual, charging in, armed with nothing but enlightenment. There is an air of potential about it.

I did it on the morning of the 17th of December 2009 at the mouth of the Kleinrivier (Small River) lagoon.
