Details

This is my 23rd polymer clay tutorial.

This lesson shows how to create a unique Batik and fabric-like effect on polymer clay. The polymer clay patterns and color are then further enhanced to an incredible depth with an easy one step resin application that cures in natural Sunlight or under an nail art UV lamp. You'll learn how to apply resin as well as how to attach a pin without glue.

Tutorial includes two variations of the technique.

If resin is not your thing you can apply Liquid Polymer clay as an option, although the depth and clarity pales in comparison to resin. The flowers were done in this way.

Premo clay works best for this project.

The tutorial guides you through 12 pages and 27 steps and 33 photographs.

Tutorial is sent via pdf file format soon after payment.

Shipping

I will ship your order promptly upon receipt of payment. Some items require 1 or 2 days developing time.

I think there is enough waste in the world so I use recycled packaging whenever possible.

I ship via Canada Post using Light Packet or Small Packet. Canada Post says that this can take up to 10 business days (2 full weeks) to arrive. I've found it's usually quicker but not always. On some occasions, particularly to overseas, it can take 3 or more weeks. Basically, your order should arrive within Canada and the US in under 2 weeks but I can't guarantee that.

I ship Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Light packet and small packet means that you do not pay very much for shipping, but this will also mean shipping is slower than other types and no insurance is included. (Also, I cannot send your jewelry in a box at this price because it won't fit into Canada Post's magic slot.) This is because I figure you will not want to pay expensive shipping prices for a small purchase. Still, you can be assured that I package your pieces as carefully as possible. I have received very positive feedback on my packaging. Flat pieces are in zip-lock baggies, taped down between pieces of card-stock. More fragile pieces like glass beads receive some cushioned foam.

Please convo me if you want quicker shipping with coverage, gift box, etc.

Shipping Costs (maybe updated without notice):

FREE Shipping* with orders totaling $100 or greater within Canada and USA!! (NOTE: Free shipping is sent via cheapest method, not insurable, and if you want insurance added you have to choose X-press, Expedited or Tracked Packet USA or International and charges do apply).

For orders less than $100, the following rates will apply...unless other methods are requested:

Canada:
Please contact me for rates (for combined shipping) as rates have changed effective January 2014 and I don't have the rate pamphlet available to me yet.

USA:

Small items $5.00 (plus $.25 for additional items) in lettermail or flat mailer up to 20mm thick or less than 100 grams are shipped via Light Packet Air between 5 to 8 days, but depends on Customs. Please convo me for more info on heavier or larger packages.

International (unfortunately these too have gone up:
Small items (Light Packet) via "regular oversized lettermail" is $6.50 (Europe) (non-insured) "Small Packet International Air" is $9.54 to $67.82 (30 g to 2 kg) this may no longer be accurate as rates have changed January 2014
Please contact me for additional shipping, tracking and insurance.

There are some countries I will not ship to unless buyer is willing to pay for insured shipping. This includes Mexico, Indonesia, Bahamas, South America, Africa, Caribbean, Asia (except Japan) and South Pacific.

Customs for US and International, if any, is up to the buyer and not the responsibility of seller.

Returns/Exchanges:
I do my best to give accurate descriptions of my pieces, but it is so different when you hold something in your hands. Please notify me within 5 days of receipt to arrange an exchange or substitution. Refunds are minus shipping cost.
Please return the item in original packaging, ship it back to me with a confirmation number.

You are responsible for insuring that shipping addresses are accurate so please double check for typos before finalizing your order. I ship to the address shown on your PayPal account unless otherwise noted on payment transaction i.e., gift to another address.

Note: This policy does not apply to tutorials. No refund on tutorials.
Additional Policies and FAQs

?Do you have additional quantities of the beads listed?

yes, sometimes I do, but I also make them custom and Made-to-Order

? How does Made-to-Order work?
Since I make my own beads, I can often recreate them as needed. For Made-to-Order beads:

o You convo me the beads/sets you want
o I convo you with my projected finish & ship date, usually 1 to 2 weeks or less
o I list a RESERVED FOR *your shop name*
o You purchase that listing and I send the beads out to you

A note about Made-to-Order: There may be slight variations from the 'stock' photo but since all beads are hand-formed or shaped they are all one of a kind.

? Are clay beads durable?

Yes, they are. Like any other art bead, they need to be treated well - cleaning should be done with a soft rag and warm water. Just like with pearls, hair sprays or perfumes should be applied before putting on jewellery as the chemicals in those products may react with the beads over time.

While the beads are waterproof I always suggest removing jewelry (any jewelry) before washing dishes, swimming or bathing.

? Do you do custom orders?

Of course~ :)

? Do you offer wholesale or volume discounts?

yes, I do! message me and we can discuss details.
