Not only are Belle Journee bath products vegan friendly, they are also made without synthetic compounds and fillers. Our soaps are handcrafted using the traditional cold process method. We use only high quality vegetable oils in a blend that is gentle to your skin. The rich, creamy lather is all natural, rather than the result of synthetic foam boosters you find in commercial soaps.

Our bar soaps are made using primarily certified organic oils (75%). Because we believe there are so many harmful consequences of herbicides to the environment, the workers exposed to them, as well as consumers, we try to support organic farming to the extent possible.

We take pride in the artisan design of Belle Journee soaps. Only natural colorants of clays and herbs are used in our soap. This means no oxides or ultramarines, which are lab-derived ingredients that many tout as natural. Essential oils, many of which are organic, are used for scenting. That allows for more creativity and variety, resulting in favorites such as the floral scented blend gracing Tickled Pink.

Eco-conscious choices enter into our packaging as well as our ingredients. Our bar soaps labels are paper made from recycled materials. The ribbons are tinted with non-toxic, water soluble dyes and are made from paper that comes from a sustainably managed forest in Canada that is certified by the Rainforect Alliance. Even our packing materials for shipping are recycled.
