Wear this shimmering royal blue lapis lazuli necklace with your evening or casual outfit.

Hanging from an imitation Rhodium-plated brass chain necklace, this deep blue lapis lazuli gemstone sparkles on the oval antiqued pendant. The necklace has a trigger clasp.

Royal blue lapis lazuli characteristically has either whitish or yellowish matrix or feathering,
and golden inclusions of pyrites which shimmer. I have posted close-up pictures of pendants with the gemstones that show these characteristics.

Lapis lazuli is regarded as the stone of friendship and truth. The blue stone is said to encourage harmony in relationships and help its wearer to be authentic and give his or her opinion openly. From antiquity, lapis lazuli has been worn in the belief that it will ward off evil.

This necklace was inspired by the one worn by the character Katherine on popular The Vampire Diaries television show. This necklace was originally commissioned by a friend for her charity fundraiser for Ian Somerhalder's favorite animal charity.

The box chain necklace is 18-inch and is tarnish resistant.
The pendant is silver-plated, on a base metal of brass.
