Birds Knitted Decorative Hanging Decoration
I have knitted the fabric and then steamed it to make it easier to work with. Then I cut and sew it, stuff the birds, hand sew on the felt wings which I have hand embroidered. Each pair of wings is different from the next. The felt beaks are also carefully stitched on by hand, as are the eyes. The tails, again sewn on by hand,are finished off with either a pretty bead, bell or both.
Once the birds are completed I string them together on a length of pretty ribbon. Along with the birds I have added green felt leaves which I have cut out myself, along with various pretty beads and a bell. Each string is individual and although there are similarities, no two are the same.

The length, including the loop at the top and the bell at the bottom is approximately 37inches/94cms.

Each bird is approximately 5 inches/13cms by 2.75 inches/7cms.
