Product Description
Antique champleve enamel on brass 3 piece buckle from the late Russian Imperial Era. Please examine my photo's closely, they are part of my description and you can easily discern the missing areas of enamel.

Most of the missing enamel is in the really narrow recessions, and are probably due to use. Because of the filigree design, I really can't accurately estimate the percentage of missing enamel overall....Rich natural patina on the brass, the reverse has two spots of early verdigris, as found. I have not cleaned the piece. It measures about 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches.

Fairly amazing work, this handmade piece is still really beautiful, despite the flaws inflicted by the years. Probably made between 1895-1915, pierced brass with enamel in delectable shades, the closure is a curved dagger attached with a chain. Fine, fine examples of these executed in sterling command high prices, this piece on brass is much more affordable yet just as lovely. Still very wearable, a wonderful addition to an antique buckle or accessory collection.
