This is a set of 6 handmade Christmas tree snowman ornaments, paper mache style.

These were made by me using shredded paper (my old bills, junk mail, including the envelopes and other papers), water and glue. Each component on the snowman ornament was rolled/shaped by hand, air-dried, hole pierced on the bottom for drying, hand-painted and finished with a coat of triple thick varnish that makes them shine. Gold colored jewelry wire secured in the hat for hanging. All materials-paint, glue, varnish are non-toxic. The snowmen are water-resistant, but not water-proof. Care should be taken if the ornaments come in contact with water. They all vary in size and shape, mostly about 4 inches tall and about an inch wide.

These will arrive individually wrapped in tissue and in a box.

I came up with this idea a couple of years ago when I was out of work and spending a lot of time at the library looking at craft books. I was inspired to make these from an idea for paper beads that I saw in one of those books. I also had a LOT of paper at home that was just sitting around collecting dust.
