This is a one-and-only print form an original 10" X 8" scratchboard. The print is matted museum format and framed in black wood under glass. Winner of the Mildred Conner's Judges Award at TCAA annual show, it is a detailed rendering of unique deep-sea birds impacted by the US 2010 oil spill. Finished frame dimension is 16 X 20"

This work is part of my Gulf of Mexico oil spill series. As events of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster unfolded I couldn't help but be moved by the loss of human life and the incredible threat to the environment and the economy for this embattled region. Most shocking was the unexpected color of the oil. Work with this series continues.
