MEMORIES OF AUNT IVA - upcycled earrings

$10.00
Quantity: 1 available
Product Description
Years ago Aunt Iva gave me the necklace that she had worn with her going away outfit in 1952. Because of the fragile nature of the design, after getting caught on my coats and grabbed by many little fingers, it just got beyond repair.
I took apart the damaged necklace- made two pair earrings and a pendant necklace. Where the necklace went I cannot remember but I am offering both pair earrings - these and see AUNT IVA's II.
I have no ideas what the materials are they are dainty and seem not to have deteriorated over the fifty odd years. It almost looks like tiny coils of gold thread.
Knowing Aunt Iva they were neither cheap nor really expensive in their day.

The green stone is some kind of glass with foil. Is it some sort of early lampwork?

Study the pics, ask questions, then buy and enjoy them.
