Royal blue sodalite cabochon in an elongated rhombus shape by Roger Crow, CabNFever.

Sodalite is a rich royal blue mineral with white veins of calcite. Sodakite is found as vein fillings in plutonic igneous rocks. Sodalite is a member of the sodalite group and - together with hauyne, nosean, and lazurite - is a common constituent of lapis lazuli.
