The design here is based on ancient Celtic traditions of the Tree of Life, Thread of Life, and Celtic Spirals. I drew the design onto the gourd freehand and then finalized it as a permanent part of the work using pyrographic (woodburning) techniques. This particular work of art took me over 125 hours to complete. This is an original design and a one-of-a-kind art work. It is signed (C. Engelhaupt) and dated (2006). It can become a treasured family heirloom for you and generations to come. The gourd measures approximately 12" tall and about 10" at the widest point. Thickness of the gourd is a little over 1/4." I have been creating and selling pyrographic art for over 13 years, being a self-taught artist.
