I purchased this twin set new around 1974. Both pieces are in brand new, clean with no stains , tears, holes, catches, etc.

Although they seem to be made by different manufacturers, they were purchased to be worn as a set, and can be worn together or separately. Both are size Small.

The long-sleeve black sweater is decorated with a peach and green colored motif. The U-neckline has sewn on ribbing and the cuffs are rib knitted into the material, as is the waist. The tag states that it's made by "Offspring by Trisha Savad". "100% acrylic, machine wash warm, do not dry-clean. RN 46421. Side seam tag states that it's made in the USA by the "Int. ladies garment workers union...ILGWI, BDNV, Union made, AFL-CIO, and is stamped "050" on the back of this tag.

The matching cardigan sweater has a sailor-type collar and is machine knitted in a in a variety of knits, (including basket-weave, fillet, and pointelles), to create an attractive and interesting multi textured effect. The front buttons with 9 buttons and loops. The collar, cuffs and hem are rib knitted. The tag states that it's made by "Chego International, Made in Republic of China, 100% Acrylic - hand wash warm water, dry flat".
