I bought this black rayon skirt a long time ago in a thrift shop.

*Probably from the 1960's or 70's, and no later than the early to mid 1980's.

*Possibly an ethnic skirt from someplace other than the US.

*Would be great for a Renaissance Fest!

*The fabric is jet black lightweight but not sheer rayon, with a daisy jacquard design on the lower portion of the garment. Wearing a slip underneath is optional.

*Fringe hem made from the fibers of the skirt fabric, in a type of drawn-work effect.

*There are no tags, but because of the elastic waist and fullness, this could be classifed as "one size fits most".

*Appears to be commercially made because the overlocked serged seams don't seem to have been done on a home machine.

*The waist seam has an elastic insert that may need replacing, as the elastic seems weak.


Length from waist to bottom of fringe is 28" (71cmm).

Clean in and in excellent condition, with the exception of the somewhat weak elastic waistband. Replacing the elastic is a simple matter for anyone who sews. There are no stains, fading, tears, holes, etc.

From a clean, smoke-free home.

*International destinations - quote here is for Priority insured mail, based on Australia delivery, and is estimated. UK and EU destinations will most likely be less, and I'll refund any difference.
