Wool Dryer Balls are an eco-friendly alternative to expensive dryer sheets. They are great for cloth diapers, as there are no chemicals or scents in them to irritate baby's skin or decrease the water retention capabilities of the the diapers.

What are wool dryer balls?
Wool dryer balls are just what they sound like -- balls of felted wool. By throwing three to four dryer balls in the dryer with your wet clothes you'll have an environmentally-friendly method to soften your clothes and reduce the drying time.

The best part? Wool dryer balls pay for themselves in no time -- they should last at least two to three years!

How do they work?
Dryer balls work by agitating your clothes; by keeping more motion in the dryer, the heat is able to better circulate within the dryer. The agitation also softens your clothes. It takes a couple tries to find out how many dryer balls are optimal for your particular dryer. Many people report 3 or 4 balls work best.

I have included a net bag to store the wool balls in between uses - hang the bag next to your dryer for convenience.

Do they require any special care?
Nope! You may see some pilling on the dryer balls. You can shave your dryer balls with a sweater shaver, or you can leave them as is. Pilling doesn't affect the usefulness of the dryer ball.

What about scents?
Want more fragrance in your dry clothes? Add a couple drops of your favorite essential or fragrance oil to your dryer ball, let it dry, and then toss the scented balls in with your laundry. Your clothes will come out dry, soft, and smelling like heaven!

One added plus, they make great cat and dog toys in case one of the balls is misplaced.
