These pliers have replaceable nylon jaws. Use them for straightening wire and to prevent marring when you are working with wire.

I've had a pair for years. The nylon jaws are very sturdy - I replaced mine after 7 years of light to moderate use.

I recently replaced the jaws again after two years of very heavy use - I was selling lengths of copper wire from the spool in several different sizes, had to straighten the wire before coiling each length. Your jaws will last much longer!

The pliers are sturdy, as well, with box joints, and make straightening wire a breeze.
